Holiday Hours: Fourth of July Closure

In observance of Independence Day, all YMCA of Virginia’s Blue Ridge branches will be closed on Saturday, July 4.

24-Hour Access will be available to members at the Botetourt Family YMCA, Salem Family YMCA and Rockbridge Area YMCA. Please see the Welcome Desk for details!

Lap & FAMILY Pool Closure - June 21

Updated 6/19/26: The Lap and Family pools will be closed on Sunday, June 21 due to operational issues. Pool will reopen during normal hours on Monday.

Lap Pool Closure - June 18

Updated 6/18/26: The lap pool is closing early today at 4:00 p.m. due to operational issues. Pool will reopen during normal hours tomorrow morning.

Construction Notice – June 16

Updated 6/15/26: Please note that on Tuesday, June 16, Church Avenue Entrance and a portion of the Church Avenue parking lot will be temporarily closed or have restricted access during the morning due to construction.

Members and guests are encouraged to use the lower Luck Avenue entrance if possible to help avoid delays.

Pool Hours Update: June 4–18

Updated 6/3/26: Members, we hear you. While adjusting pool hours is never an easy decision, your safety remains our top priority.

Due to ongoing staffing shortages, the Lap Pool and Family Pool will close at 7:00 PM each evening, on weekdays, from June 4 through June 18. This temporary change helps us maintain safe staffing levels and continue providing a positive experience for everyone who uses our aquatics facilities.

We are actively recruiting and training lifeguards and aquatics staff, and we appreciate your patience as we work through this challenge. We will reevaluate the situation as we approach June 18 and provide updates as soon as they are available.

Salem Family YMCA

Updated 6/15/26:The Salem Family YMCA Family Pool will be closed August 7–13 for scheduled maintenance.

During this time, we will be acid washing the pool and painting the ceiling, both of which require the pool to be fully drained and refilled.

These improvements are part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable space for our members and families.
