Louis Tudor Roanoke City Swims Program

Thanks to the local fundraising group, Keep Roanoke City Public Pools Open, the Kirk Family YMCA will be providing free swim lessons for up to 125 children, teens, and families who reside in Roanoke City and have been adversely affected by the closure of the city's two public swimming pools.

Swim lessons will be held in three-month sessions, with the first session beginning in August. Participants and their families will also receive a three-month membership to the YMCA while they are enrolled in swim lessons. We will have a limited capacity per three-month session and will do our best to accommodate interested swimmers.

If you are interested in registering for this program and are a Roanoke City resident, please fill out the form below and a member of our staff will be in touch with you soon. You can also contact the Kirk Family YMCA directly at 540-342-9622.

This program is proudly named after Louis Tudor to honor his tireless efforts to support swimming in the Roanoke area. Learn more about the funding of this program here.
