Y After School 2025-2026 Registration is open!

Our Roanoke City  Y After School program is for children ages 3-12 years old attending select Roanoke City Schools Monday- Friday during the 2025-2026 school year. Our commitment to providing our children with a fun and engaging place to learn, and our parents with an environment where their children are being well cared for is always our top priority.

ROANOKE CITY AFTER SCHOOL SITES 

DATES AND HOURS

Y After school care operates from 2:00 to 6:00 pm from August 29, 2025-June 4, 2026. The program will remain open on planned two-hour release days, teacher workshop days, holiday breaks, and snow days at a designated location.

COST 

Registration: $50 (covers all licensed childcare programs)

Weekly Rate: Members: $90 per week/Non-Members: $105 per week  ($5 multi-child discount available)

Full Day Care: Members/Non-Members: Additional $20 per day 

You will receive an email with the required paperwork that must be submitted before your child's start date. Your child will not be admitted to Y After School until all paperwork has been completed. Please call 540-342-9622 for more information

Financial Assistance: Virginia DSS Assistance is also available. If you do not qualify for DSS assistance, the YMCA is a non-profit charitable organization that provides scholarships for those unable to pay the standard rate. Click here to learn more and apply.
