Y Summer Camp

Summer Camp has been extended!

We will be offering additional weeks of summer camp to accommodate the delayed start of the school year at First Church of the Brethren (2001 Carroll Ave.)

August 10 - 14: You've Got Talent
August 17 - 21: Picture This
August 24 - 28: Full STEAM Ahead

Please keep in mind that, like many things, summer care will be different this year than it has in years past. We will not be able to go on field trips, for the time being, but we plan to have entertainment experiences (in place of field trips). We will increase our efforts to combat summer learning loss with literacy, math, and STEM activities daily. For any weeks we are unable to offer childcare due to COVID-19, a refund or credit for the deposit received will be issued per the request of the participant.

We are taking several steps to protect our children's health.

    • Children will be separated into groups of nine children to one staff. Each group will have their own space and will remain with their group at all times. Groups will have staggered outdoor playtime.
    • Staff, visitors, and children will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms daily. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be sent home. Anyone with a known exposure will be excluded from camp for 14 days. Anyone who develops symptoms during the day will be isolated until they can be picked up.
    • YMCA staff and visitors will be required to wear masks. Masks are not required for campers, but you may send one with your child if you wish.
    • Each child will have their own table space and a basket in which to store their belongings. They will also receive their own art supplies.
    • Touched surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected throughout the day, with a thorough cleaning in the evening.
    • Staff has been trained in health protection procedures.
