Summer Feed and Read

When enrichment and lunch programs are unavailable once school is out, we’re right there with our summer food program. The Y, in partnership with Roanoke City Public Libraries and Feeding America of Southwest Virginia, believe that children deserve every opportunity possible to learn, grow, and thrive. The meals we serve and enrichment activities we provide over the summer months make this possible for children in our community.

The Y and its partnering agencies will provide free meals to children 18 and under while school is out of session. More than 300 Y's nationwide will provide seven million nutritious meals to 70,000 children over the summer months.

June - August

Children ages 18 and under are invited to join us for a meal and brain-building fun! This program is completely FREE and open to all.
